Bangladesh Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Foundation (OSHE) has organized a workshop on “Chemical Hazards and Management: Problems and Challenges in Bangladesh” at National Press Club in March 25, 2009. They also stressed the need for amending Bangladesh Labour Act-2006 for inclusion of clear-cut description on use of personal protective equipments (PPE) in various chemical hazardous situation. “Chemical hazards and its management should be included in the Bangladesh Labour Rules for which a draft has been made recently,” said an expert.
